We built Visagist Haircuts with your privacy in mind. We never store your photos. Images are processed in real time by AI and immediately discarded. This policy explains exactly what we collect and why.
Visagist Haircuts ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is an AI-powered haircut advisor application developed and operated by Oscar Oteiza. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at oteizanagi@gmail.com.
We collect only the minimum data needed to provide the App's features:
a) Account Information (via Google Sign-In)
This information is provided by Google when you choose to sign in and is used solely to identify your account within the App.
b) Usage Data
This data is stored in Firebase Firestore under your user ID and is used to manage your credit balance and enforce usage limits.
c) Photos and Camera
The App requests access to your device camera and/or photo library to take or select a selfie for AI haircut analysis. Photos are sent directly to our AI processing provider for analysis and are never stored on our servers. Once the analysis is complete, the image is discarded. We do not retain, sell, or share your photos with any third party beyond the AI processing step.
d) Device Information
This is used for crash reporting and app performance monitoring.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sell it to any third party.
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:
Your account data (email, name, usage counts) is stored in Google Firebase, which is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States. Firebase applies industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Photos are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections to our AI provider and are never written to any persistent storage.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days. Usage and purchase records may be retained for up to 90 days for fraud prevention purposes before being permanently deleted.

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
The App is available globally. By using the App, you consent to your data being processed in the United States where our service providers (Google Firebase, Replicate, OpenAI) operate. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
